Brazil once again offers Women's Canoe at its
National Canoe
/Kayak Championships
April 21-22, 2007 in Rio de Janeiro.
We are pleased that CBCa continues to support and provide opportunities for Women's Canoe. Events have been offered for women since 2004.
Lucian Costa (who represented Brazil at the 2006 Pan American Championships) continues to show why she is the top woman in Brazil, taking both the C1 500 and 200m events.
We look forward to seeing women's canoe added for all events (C1, C2 and C4) and age categories at the National Championships in 2008. This will make Brazil the third country to do so, following Canada (which added women to all canoe events in 1996) and the United States (2002).
