Hannah Menke also finished strong in two singles events by taking Bronze in the C1 500 and 200m events. Seattle's Amina Saleh competed in her first ever international competition for Team USA and turned in a personal best performance in the C1 1000 meter event finishing fourth.

The future for women's canoe in the U.S. looks bright and we hope to build on these results to spur on more women to train in canoe for international opportunities in 2007 and beyond. The 2008 Pan American Championships in Montreal will include women's canoe as medal events.
