How can you help?
1. Contact the International Canoe Federation (ICF) to show your support for Women’s Canoe and/or make suggestions regarding the program. The ICF is our voice to the International Olympic Committee. They want to hear from you!
-
Permanently add Women’s C1 & C2 events to the Senior & Junior Canoe Sprint and Slalom World Championships & World Cup programs.
-
Permanently include women’s canoe in the ICF Global Development program, which will also include them in pre-Worlds Development Camps
-
Do not eliminate Men’s C2 500m from the Olympic Program.
Recommend keeping it and making it C2 200 – comparable to men’s kayak distance changes.
Find equity through means of INclusion – rather than EXclusion!
2. Email the London 2012 Olympics Organizing Committee at either
blog@london2012.com
or
http://www.london2012.com
. Tell them you support the addition of Women’s Canoe in Sprint & Slalom as exhibition in 2012. Their motto:
“London 2012’s ambition is to create a Games for everyone, where everyone is invited to take part, join in and enjoy the most exciting event in the world...Our emblem [represents that we are]…not afraid to shake things up, to challenge the accepted. To change things.”
